The sultry voice in the back of your mind and the angel on your shoulder. Chenza Puno is a vocal powerhouse and songwriter who has been performing since the age of 4 and is the youngest daughter of Filipino Soul icon Rico J. Puno. Born in West Covina, California but raised in Manila, Philippines, the singer eventually made her way to Los Angeles. At the age of 12, she started to teach herself how to play the guitar and write music. She shortly began to record, produce, and release her music independently while also performing cover songs on her Youtube channel. Chenza's music is a blend of country, rock, pop, soul, and blues. She has been called "the next Kelly Clarkson" with her impressive range and versatility. In 2022, Chenza joined forces with renowned musician Herman Jackson, known for his collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Philip Bailey among others for Chenza’s cover of “He Made A Woman Out Of Me” released in September. Soul&Jazz&Funk says “Despite her age, Chenza turns in a big, mature performance on the track which offers flavours of both country rock and Southern soul.”
